The Belize Foundation for Research and Environmental Education (BFREE) was founded in 1995 with the primary purpose of developing and implementing a conservation program for the Bladen Nature Reserve. To achieve this goal, BFREE established a biological field station strategically located in the foothills of the Maya Mountains, adjacent to the reserve. The organization is registered in the U.S. as a 501c3 nonprofit with a local chapter in Belize.
The Mission of Solar Water Relief is to deliver clean water and electricity to persons affected by natural disaster - without using fossil fuels, creating plastic bottle waste, or generating harmful emissions.
We will achieve this mission by using mobile, solar powered generators with integrated reverse osmosis systems to convert salt or brackish water to potable water.
